St. James' Church, Kentmere Road, Staveley LA8 9PA

Staveley is our nearest station. It is 1/2mile from St. James' Church. Turn left out of the station and go straight across at the crossroads, the church is 1/4 mile up on your left.

Staveley station is 2 miles from St. Anne's Ings and 4 miles from St. Cuthbert's Kentmere.

The 555 bus from Lancaster, Kendal or Keswick serves Staveley and Ings and the 599 serves Ings. There is no bus service to Kentmere.


By Car:



St. James' Staveley is on the corner of Kentmere Road and Brow Lane, Staveley LA8 9PA. From the centre of the village turn at the Village Hall towards Kentmere. The church is situated on your left hand side approx. 1/4 mile from the turning on your left.

Please do not confuse us with St. Margaret's Tower in the centre of the village or with the Old Methodist Church which has been converted into housing.



St. Anne's Church, Church View, Ings LA8 9PY


St. Anne's Church is visible from the A591. Turn into Ings from the north junction, by the Watermill Inn. The church is on your left, parking is available on the street. For special events at weekends car parking is often available at Lakeland Vintners, just past the church on the right.



St. Cuthbert's Church, Kentmere LA8 9JL


From Staveley village turn at the Village Hall and follow the main road 4 miles all the way to Kentmere. The church will be visible up the valley just after you pass the Hollingworth and Vose factory. Limited parking is available just past the church by Kentmere Institute. Some days a car park is available at the bottom of the hill before the church.
