Dementia Friendly Activities

In line with the Diocesan policy of
‘Making every church in Cumbria dementia-friendly by 2020’
our churches are currently undergoing a Dementia Friendly Health Check so we can best serve those in our number, and those who join us, who are suffering from dementia.

‘Dementia-friendly’ means
that the church is welcoming and inclusive towards people with dementia and those who care for them, and that they are valued members of the congregation who are encouraged to stay involved in church activity as long as possible.

There are many events in our local area for dementia suffers and their carers.
